Creating an effective menu is crucial for your restaurant's operation within foodHost. This guide will walk you through setting up your menu from categories to items and their options.
Steps:
Log In to the Admin Portal
Start by logging into the Admin Portal using your credentials.
Access the Menu Section
Click on the 'Menu' tab on the left-hand side of the interface.
Create a Category
Click the plus button to add a new category. Categories represent the sections of your menu, such as Appetizers, Lunch, etc.
Give your category a name and save it.
Add Items to the Category
Within the category, find the 'Items' column on the right side and click the plus button to create a new item.
On the 'Create an Item' page, enter the item's name, cost, upload an image, write a description, and toggle whether it is in stock.
Add Transformers (if applicable)
Look to the 'Widgets' column to the right and click the plus button to add a transformer to your item.
A transformer could be 'Select a Size' or 'Select your Toppings.' Define whether it is a checklist (multiple selections) or a choice (single selection).
Specify the number of options, names of the options, and any additional cost associated with each option.
Decide whether the selection is required for the order, and if so, set the minimum number of required options.
Review and Continue
Once your item setup is complete, click the blue 'Continue' button. This will return you to the category creation page where your new item will appear listed under the category.
To add more items, repeat the steps by clicking the plus next to 'Items' in the right column.
Complete Your Category
Once all items are added, click the 'Finish' button to save your category.
Repeat for Additional Categories
To add more categories, simply repeat the steps from creating a category to adding items.
