As a restaurant using the foodHost platform, understanding how to handle orders is crucial. This guide walks you through the process from receiving an order to having it picked up by a foodHost driver.
Steps:
1. Access Your foodHost Account
Ensure that you're logged into your foodHost account on the foodHost for Restaurants App. You should have received your login credentials from your business owner or manager.
2. Review Incoming Order
When an order arrives, it appears in the "Needs Action" section. Review the order details carefully, including the items ordered and any special instructions from the customer.
3. Accept the Order and Set Prep Time
If you're able to fulfill the order, tap the 'Accept' button and set an estimated preparation time. You can either choose a preset time (5 mins, 10 mins, 15 mins, 20 mins) or enter a custom time if needed.
4. Prep the Order
After accepting the order, it moves to the "In the Kitchen" section. Prepare the order according to the details provided.
5. Confirm the Order for Delivery
Once the order is ready for pickup, click the "Confirm Order for Delivery" button. This action sends a notification to available foodHost drivers to come to your location for pickup.
6. Track the Order Progress
When a driver accepts the order and picked up the order from you, the status changes to "Order in Progress" and turns orange. You can track the order's progress through the app.
7. Completion of the Order
Once the driver has delivered the order, the status will change to "Complete". You can then proceed with handling the next order.
Congratulations, you have successfully handled an order on foodHost! Remember, efficiency and accuracy in handling orders are essential for providing excellent service to your customers and maintaining smooth operation.
